  • whatnots: Use Nutiva Coconut Oil for all your cooking- it's delicious and it is so good for you!

Hi Everyone!  Happy Belated Valentine's Day!!  I hope everyone had a lovely one.  Mine was nice- but not overly fun!  haha!  I had to go in for an ultrasound- I have been having some pain in my lower abdomen.  I went for my annual "women's health check-up" and something felt a little "off" so the doctor ordered an ultra-sound.  I've been trying not to think about it- I was SO stressed out about it.  The doctor should have the results by Monday.  I'm scared!!!   I'm such a wimp when it comes to any medically-related.

Outside of that- my hubby got me a lovely card, took me out for lunch (after my scary ultrasound where I couldn't eat or drink anything 4 hours prior, and then I had to drink 32 OUNCES OF WATER one hour before!!!  I could barely walk!!)  He also bought me a NEW CAMERA!!  It's so PRETTY!!

And it's PINK!!  (Sami- eat your heart out!!  haha!)  Isn't it cool?!?!?!
Anyway!  I'm having fun with that- and only 8 more days until our BAHAMAS trip and I will use that baby like crazy!!

As for hubby- he is doing good.  He feels great.  No pain.  His attitude is really good.  We are moving past the "shock" of the scan result, and now focusing on what we need to do about it.  I have moved past fear a good bit- it hit me pretty hard.  We have determined that we definitely want to get him to that treatment center, and I have come up with an idea for a fundraiser to help make that happen.  I will be posting about that SOON, and I will be asking ALLL my friends & family to help me with this!!  It's sort of a crazy idea, but it might be crazy enough to work!  I don't want to say much about WHAT it is until I've got things more together and ready to launch.  I know I can count on everyone with this, and that is what makes me feel hopeful that my idea will work.  Actually- I believe my idea was an answer to prayer, so I guess it's not really MY idea- I believe God gave it to me.

Other than that, life is going on pretty much as usual- we have focused more on juicing daily, so that is an added dimension to my life.  I tell you- when I got the strong message internally to "SLOW DOWN" and simplify my life, I believe that it wasn't a coincidence and that God was speaking to me- and I am soo glad I listened!!  Friends- listen to that inner voice, that "still small voice".  It's there for a reason!

Gina, the camera is adorable. I have heard good things about them as well in my camera magazines.

I'm glad George is feeling well and that you have an answer as to how to get him to Issels. I can't wait to hear what it is.

I had forgotten about the trip to the Bahamas. I wish it were me, it's so cold here! This is the time of the year that I wish I had never moved North. I should have moved South when I had the chance!

I hope that the results from the MRI were normal.

I LOVE your new camera! You are going to look so "tres chic" snapping photos with it. You are sooo lucky to get to go to the Bahamas! It is freezing cold here. We haven't seen anything above the 20's in days! Soak up some sun for me! I will keep you and George in prayer. Remember God will never give you more than you can handle! (((HUGS)))

That camera is just too cute! Does this mean that we'll get to see your photographic talents on the blog? I LOVE the Bahamas -- especially Freeport. You deserve it! Enjoy it!
