My Life with George!

I plan to devote this blog primarily to sharing my journey of keeping my life with my husband simple and fun, and focused on making as many positive memories as we possibly can! I have been very caught up, the last few years, in trying to "find" my "purpose"- and have devoted large amounts of time and money in that pursuit- and am coming back around with a strong sense that the only thing I should be doing at this time in my life is living each day WITH purpose, and enjoying the life I have.

My husband and I have been married for nearly 17 years (in April). He is a 6+ year survivor of an aggressive form of early prostate cancer. He has taken radical steps with diet and supplementation, and is LIVING proof that what you put in does make a difference! In fact, we had one doctor tell us that he was surprised to even see him still alive. We refuse to accept defeat- and we appreciate all prayers! Instead, we plan to travel and enjoy life together. Stay "posted"!

I would like everyone praying that a way will be provided/made known for us (George) to be treated at Issels. (http://www.issels.com/Testimonials.aspx). George has wanted to go there for over a year now, and with this recent development, I feel very strongly that he needs to go. I have prayed that God will make a way- and I believe that He will. I would like to ask you to join me in this plea, and believe alongside me. It is expensive, and our finances/credit have taken a hard hit from an "episode" a few years back, so it will be a challenge. But God owns it all, and He desires to hold nothing back from His children, so I am trusting that He WILL provide the way for George to be treated there.

Definitely praying here Gina. This has to be incredibly difficult for both you and George. I pray that your marriage stays strong through this stress, that God will show you how to work the finances for treatment, and that God will show himself to you often during these times.
