I plan to devote this blog primarily to sharing my journey of keeping my life with my husband simple and fun, and focused on making as many positive memories as we possibly can! I have been very caught up, the last few years, in trying to "find" my "purpose"- and have devoted large amounts of time and money in that pursuit- and am coming back around with a strong sense that the only thing I should be doing at this time in my life is living each day WITH purpose, and enjoying the life I have.
My husband and I have been married for nearly 17 years (in April). He is a 6+ year survivor of an aggressive form of early prostate cancer. He has taken radical steps with diet and supplementation, and is LIVING proof that what you put in does make a difference! In fact, we had one doctor tell us that he was surprised to even see him still alive. We refuse to accept defeat- and we appreciate all prayers! Instead, we plan to travel and enjoy life together. Stay "posted"!

I'm just out making quick visits and I wanted to come by and say Howdy! My prayers & thoughts are with you both!
I have come by and done some reading. George will be added to my prayer list, as will you. Blessings,
It has been one week since I launched our fundraiser- and we are already at the 1/4 of the way mark!!! Isn't that amazing?!?!?! The more people tell other people, the bigger and bigger this is becoming- it is so awesome!! We have felt so much support and love through this. Keep spreading the word!!
Check out our progress as of today!
I have a lot to do today! I fly out Thursday to the East Coast to spend Easter weekend with my family. I am meeting my globe-trotting baby sister at the airport in Baltimore that evening, and then the next day we are taking off to PA to see another sister and bro-in-law and cutie pie nephew! Then spending the night with her, and the next day heading down to VA to stay with Mom and Dad and hopefully connect with yet ANOTHER sister (I have a total of 5 sisters!) and two nieces.
I also am getting the chance to meet up with a good friend of mine who now lives in Baltimore!! Since I get there in the morning, and my sister doesn't get there until late that evening, I am spending the day with my friend, Erin. She has a lot of fun stuff lined up for us, including a manicure and a pedicure!!! I can't wait- I am in desperate need of both!! haha! It will be so good to see her- we used to work together and I miss her.
So- off to my "to-do" list! We have a friend from church coming by this morning who tells us she has "some surprises" for us from her Sunday School class... we are in suspense!! I'll let you know!
LATER THIS SAME DAY>>>>
Our friend, Shirley, came by to deliver a prayer blanket that the ladies in her Bible study made for us and prayed over regarding us!! It is so pretty!! What a loving, thoughtful gift.
I also HAD to share this with you- it is so cute!!! I did a pet portrait for my aunt and uncle of their dog, Toughie, as a surprise- and here is Toughie admiring his portrait!!

Is that not the CUTEST?!?!?! hahaha!
