I plan to devote this blog primarily to sharing my journey of keeping my life with my husband simple and fun, and focused on making as many positive memories as we possibly can! I have been very caught up, the last few years, in trying to "find" my "purpose"- and have devoted large amounts of time and money in that pursuit- and am coming back around with a strong sense that the only thing I should be doing at this time in my life is living each day WITH purpose, and enjoying the life I have.
My husband and I have been married for nearly 17 years (in April). He is a 6+ year survivor of an aggressive form of early prostate cancer. He has taken radical steps with diet and supplementation, and is LIVING proof that what you put in does make a difference! In fact, we had one doctor tell us that he was surprised to even see him still alive. We refuse to accept defeat- and we appreciate all prayers! Instead, we plan to travel and enjoy life together. Stay "posted"!

I'm just out making quick visits and I wanted to come by and say Howdy! My prayers & thoughts are with you both!
I have come by and done some reading. George will be added to my prayer list, as will you. Blessings,
Our fundraiser is taking off like GANGBUSTERS (that's for you, Ada! haha!)!! We have been absolutely overwhelmed and amazed at the response to the site and also with the way so many people are pitching in and helping to get the word out. I see this as- I threw the pebble, but the ripple is in God's hands, and I feel like He is saying to me "Watch my ripple, Baby!"
We feel very confident that George will be able to be treated at the treatment center, and are excited and hopeful about that. We are now using verbage like "when we go" not "IF we go". Right now he feels great. He still is experiencing no physical symptoms, and we are so thankful for that! I continue to juice for him on my days off so that he has about 48 oz. of carrot juice a day and he stays very faithful to his diet. It's knowing where the cancer has decided to show its ugly face that keeps me motivated!!
Outside of the fundraiser right now, not a whole lot going on! The weather is in a warming trend here, which feels so nice- especially after our big winter storm!! We actually got nearly a foot of snow- in Cincinnati!! wow!
Today I am going to paint a tree and some grass and flower stems and a sun on a Sunday school wall at church for a friend- I've put her off for too long, and just need to get it done!!! Her little deaf students are going to paint their hands, and that will be the flower heads. Cute!
Have a great day, everyone!!
